NASCAR Team Owner, Breast Cancer Survivors, Military Personnel and Country Music Star Among Distinguished Dignitaries Taking Part in Bank of America 500 Weekend

Defending NASCAR Sprint Cup Series champion team owner Joe Gibbs will serve as the honorary pace car driver for Saturday’s 57th annual Bank of America 500 atCharlotte Motor Speedway, joining a diverse list of dignitaries set to take the stage during the action-packed weekend.

Gibbs – whose cars won the 1994, 2000 and ’03 Bank of America 500s – will help lead the field to green for the only Saturday night race in the Chase for the NASCAR Sprint Cup.

Accomplished country music singer-songwriter Danielle Peck, a Jacksonville, North Carolina, native, will sing the national anthem for Saturday’s race.

Thursday, Oct. 6 – Bojangles’ Pole Night

Invocation: Monty Self

Bad Boy Off Road Southern Slam 150 Grand Marshal: Jerry Cook

Friday, Oct. 7 – Drive for The Cure 300 presented by Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina
Honorary Starter: Lisa Cade, Chief Service Operations Officer BCBS of NC & Breast Cancer Survivor

Grand Marshals: Fara Palumbo, BCBS of NC Employee and Breast Cancer Survivor

TICKETS:
Fans can buy tickets to the Oct. 6-8 Bank of America 500 race weekend by calling 1-800-455-FANS (3267), or visitinghttp://www.charlottemotorspeedway.com/tickets/. Tickets are also available at the speedway ticket office. Weekend passes start at just $99 and Chase University passes for college students cost just $24. Children 13 and under get in FREE to Bojangles’ Pole Night on Oct. 6 and the Oct. 7 Drive for the Cure 300 presented by Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina. Kids’ tickets start at only $10 for the Bank of America 500.
