Kurt Busch Joins Martinsville’s Green Flag Experience Line-up

From Martinsville Speedway

Two-time Martinsville winner and the 2004 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Champion is the latest driver added to the Green Flag Experience lineup, prior to the Goody’s Fast Relief 500 on October 30 at Martinsville Speedway.

Busch, who won at Martinsville most recently in 2014, joins Dale Earnhardt Jr., Kasey Kahne and his brother, 2015 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Champion Kyle Busch, as drivers scheduled to participate in the moderated question-and-answer sessions on race morning.

“I can’t think any other sport where fans get to hear from the stars right before they take the field, or in our case the track. That’s exactly what you’re getting with the Green Flag Experience,” Martinsville Speedway President Clay Campbell said. “One look at Kurt’s resume and you quickly realize he is one of the best drivers in the sport and one of the best at Martinsville. He’s won here twice. He’s a champion.

“To add him to a lineup that includes Kyle, Kasey and Dale Jr., I think we’ve really got a top-notch group that fans are really going to enjoy.”

Including his two Martinsville wins, Busch has won 28 times in the sport’s top series, with nine of those wins coming on short-tracks.

Additional drivers participating in the Green Flag Experience will be announced in the coming weeks.

In addition to the moderated question-and-answer sessions, the Green Flag Experience also gives fans the chance to watch driver introductions from the track, along with a morning full of fun and excitement on the track and under the large tent in The Plaza, located on the hill behind the souvenir display area.

Fans have the opportunity to walk the frontstretch on race morning, sign the start/finish line, a photo opportunity in mock Victory Lane, enjoy music, games and prizes along with doughnuts, Danishes, coffee and juice. The cost of the Green Flag Experience is $60.

The driver question-and-answer sessions, food, music, games and prizes, and show cars will be held in The Plaza from 8 a.m. until 12 p.m. The track portion will open at 10:00 and will remain open until the finish of driver introductions.

Admission to the Green Flag Experience does not include a ticket for Goody’s Fast Relief 500.

Advance ticket prices for the Goody’s Fast Relief 500 begin at just $45.

Tickets are on sale now and can be purchased by calling 877.RACE.TIX or online at http://www.martinsvillespeedway.com.
