Robertson family will serve in honorary positions for the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Duck Commander 500 scheduled for April 11 at Texas Motor Speedway

From Texas Motor Speedway

FORT WORTH, Texas (March 24, 2015) – Seven members of the Robertson family will serve in honorary positions for the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Duck Commander 500 scheduled for April 11 at Texas Motor Speedway.

From the pace car to the flag stand, the family will play an integral role in the pre-race activities leading up to the Duck Commander 500, NASCAR’s first nighttime race of the season that begins at 6:30 p.m. CT live on FOX.

Rain during last year’s Duck Commander 500 washed away the family’s hopes for enjoying their honorary roles as the race was postponed until Monday. However, the family was not going to miss out on a second chance to represent the race that bears the name of the family-owned business.

Willie Robertson, CEO of Duck/Buck Commander, will welcome the Texas crowd to the state’s largest-attended, single-day sporting event. Willie’s brother Jase will spice up driver introductions as he announces the top-10 starting lineup for the Duck Commander 500.

Sadie, the daughter of Willie and Korie, will deliver the invocation while her cousin Reed will perform the National Anthem.

Helping the drivers fire up their engines is “Uncle Si,” who will provide the most famous words in motorsports in his role as Grand Marshal.

Alan, the eldest and beardless brother of the Robertson family, will pilot the car leading the 43-car field to the green flag, which will be waved by family patriarch Phil in the role of Honorary Starter.

Tickets for the Duck Commander 500 are available by visitingwww.texasmotorspeedway.com or by calling the Texas Motor Speedway ticket office at (817) 215-8500.
