Brian Scott Visits Peak Experiences

From Richmond International Raceway

NASCAR Nationwide Series driver Brian Scott visited the Richmond area on Monday, April 7th, climbing with kids and signing autographs at Peak Experiences in Midlothian. Scott will make his return to Richmond in a few short weeks for the ToyotaCare 250 NASCAR Nationwide Series race on Friday, April 25.

Scott, who is currently seventh in the NASCAR Nationwide Series point standings, spoke with Peak Experience’s Training Climbing team about his love for adventure sports the importance of staying healthy and active. After the session, Scott spent some time signing autographs and climbing with members of the team.

“Being a race car driver takes you down the path of adrenaline junkie,” said Scott. “So doing anything you can, and obviously getting high up on some walls, it’s fun (to me).”

Richmond could be where Scott makes a jump in the NASCAR Nationwide Series point standings. The Richard Childress Racing driver has a recent history of success at America’s Premier Short Track, winning the Coors Light Pole Award before the Virginia529 College Savings 250 last September, and leading for a race-high 239 of 250 laps before finishing second to Brad Keselowski.

“I love coming out to Richmond,” said Scott. “I’m looking forward to coming back in a couples weeks. It’s the best short-track racing on the schedule.”
