Rising Country Artist Brett Eldredge Performing Pre-Race Concert for Kansas Speedway Kansas 400

ACM Award New Artist of the Year nominee Brett Eldredge will perform songs from his debut album like, “Raymond,”, “Don’t Ya,” and “It Ain’t Gotta Be Love” when he opens the Kansas Army National Guard Pre-Race activities for the Kansas 400 on May 10.

“I’m excited to welcome rising country star Brett Eldredge to Kansas Speedway to be a part of our first NASCAR Sprint Cup Series night race,” said Kansas Speedway President Patrick Warren. “Brett is a growing star in the country music industry and I know he’ll provide a high performance show to kick off the festivities for what will be an entertaining night of racing.”

“Don’t Ya” reached #1 on the Country Airplay charts this past August which is on his debut albumBring You Back, which was also released in August 2013. “Don’t Ya” became Eldredge’s first single to reach the Top 20 of the Hot Country Songs chart and his first to appear in the Billboard Hot 100.

Eldredge, who has opened for Taylor Swift and Keith Urban, is also known for his song writing, co-writing Gary Allan’s “I Think I’ve Had Enough,” and he frequently collaborates with Country Music Hall of Famer Bill Anderson.

For race fans looking to be close to the pre-race stage for Eldredge’s performance, Kansas Speedway’s gates on May 10 will open at 3 PM with parking lots opening at Noon. Kansas Speedway’s inaugural night NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race, the Kansas 400, will begin at 6:30 PM with the green flag dropping at 6:46 PM. Earlier in the day, Richard Petty Driving Experience will have race rides from 9 AM until Noon.

On May 9, gates will open at 10 AM with parking lots opening at 9 AM. The first on track activity on Friday begins at 11 AM with NASCAR Sprint Cup Series practice and ends with the SFP 250 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race which begins at 7:30 PM, with the green flag at 7:49 PM

Tickets for Kansas Speedway’s 2014 events, including Kansas Speedway’s first NASCAR Sprint Cup Series night race, are currently on sale. To purchase season tickets or single event tickets, call 866-460-RACE (7223) or visit www.kansasspeedway.com.  Season ticket holders receive a TrackPass for each NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race day that allows access to the infield for the Kansas Army National Guard Pre-Race activities, including the pre-race concert and driver introductions.

Parking is always free at Kansas Speedway and fans can bring in one 14x14x14-inch soft-sided cooler with their favorite food and beverages.
